NAM AIR Lombok-Bali route is operative, offering a cheap alternative to reach the first-class famous tourist destinations.

Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indonesian government to invest up to $500 million in the Southeast Asian country’s tourism sector, according to local media reports.

Property developer PT PP Properti is building a five-star plus rated hotel in the Mandalika special economic zone (SEZ) in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) with investment of Rp 1 trillion named Paramount Lombok Resort (US$69.59 million).

The government will start disbursing subsidized microloans for Indonesian businesses, small and medium enterprises by end of this month to increase revenue from the tourism sector and boost the country’s foreign exchange reserves.

After the Indonesian island of Lombok was hit by a 7.0-magnitude earthquake that has killed at least 90 people on Aug. 5, aftershocks have continued to shake the island.

This year’s upgrading of Lombok International Airport is continuing and, over the past two months, a significant number of improvements have been made to the island’s only airport facility.
